Series plot:
In 12th-century Japan, the swordsman Kuro escapes from a fierce pursuer with his servant Benkei into a deep forest. Seeking shelter, the two find themselves at the secluded residence of the mysterious and handsome Kuromitsu. While they are warmly received, the men are warned never to enter Kuromitsu's room.
However, driven by innate curiosity and perhaps a condemned love, Kuro peeps through the ajar door, only to find Kuromitsu feasting on the blood of the fallen men. He soon learns that Kuromitsu is an immortal vampire, and devotes himself to him - even becoming a vampire himself in order to spend eternity with him. But the secret organization known as the Red Army has enlisted the help of Benkei, who betrays Kuro and beheads him.
Waking up centuries into a post-apocalyptic Japan, Kurou sets out to reunite with her lover and exact revenge on the Red Army.
